Your Bears Cross Country team competed for the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Championship recently.  Ten NJCAA schools toed the starting line. 

The Lady Bears finished the 5k course led again by Evelyn Osornio and Sydney Wilson who ran her season best!!  Evelyn said, "I am proud of my teammates and while I did not reach my goal, I know I can and will dig down deeper to reach my goals in the upcoming races."

As for the men, four of our five scorers ran a lifetime best, led by Yomar Vega Borquez.  The fellas finished fourth of ten teams!!  Mohamed Sadiq said, "The race was tough, with the morning heat making the course even more challenging."  He went on to say, "a valuable lesson for me as we get closer to Nationals."

There is no finish line with the Regional Championships less than four weeks away.  Our next competition is the CAMPY Invitational at Central Arizona College in Coolidge, AZ.  Eight teams will toe-the-line Saturday morning October 5th at 7:20 a.m.
