Phoenix College softball picked up a pair of road wins on Saturday, sweeping Eastern Arizona College in a doubleheader and continuing to build momentum as conference play moves forward.
Game 1: Phoenix College 6, Eastern Arizona 4
Phoenix College broke through with a three-run fourth inning and added three more in the seventh to secure a 6–4 victory in the opener. The Bears collected 14 hits in the game, with several players contributing at the plate.
Harli Noriega led the offense, driving in four runs, while Katelyn Larney added two RBIs. Eva Issitt, Kyla Kim, Olivia Deford, and Gianna Baca each recorded multiple hits as the Bears applied steady pressure throughout the lineup.
In the circle, Maddison Peter earned the win, going the distance and allowing four runs while striking out four.
Game 2: Phoenix College 7, Eastern Arizona 6 (8 innings)
The second game went to extra innings, where Phoenix College pulled out a 7–6 win in eight innings. The Bears jumped out early and answered every Eastern Arizona push to stay in control.
Katelyn Larney continued her strong day, finishing with a triple, a double, and two RBIs, while Kyla Kim and Olivia Deford each drove in runs. Gianna Baca also chipped in an RBI, and Phoenix College used aggressive baserunning to create scoring chances.
After a short start, Aubree Lovo was dominant in relief, throwing 6.1 innings of scoreless softball to earn the win and seal the sweep.
