Phoenix, Ariz. — Phoenix College is proud to announce that sophomore standout Cruzeiro Cruz has been named the 2025 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Men's Division II Player of the Year, the highest individual honor in the nation at the junior college level.
In an official notification, United Soccer Coaches stated:
"On behalf of United Soccer Coaches, I am pleased to inform you that you have been named the 2025 Junior College Men's Division II Player of the Year. Congratulations on being selected the best in the nation at the Junior College level this year."
Cruz, a dynamic and commanding presence throughout the 2025 season, emerged as one of the most influential players in the country. His leadership, creativity in the attack, and game-changing performances were instrumental in guiding the Phoenix College Bears to a historic season, culminating in the 2025 NJCAA National Championship.
A two-time All-American, Cruz has consistently elevated his team with his vision, technical excellence, and competitive drive. His impact on both sides of the ball set him apart from top players nationwide and solidified his place among the most decorated athletes in Phoenix College history.
