Phoenix College is proud to announce that four members of the 2025 NJCAA National Champion Men's Soccer Team have been selected as United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division II All-Americans. The announcement was made today from Kansas City, Mo., as part of the association's release of the 2025 Junior College Division I & II All-America Teams.
Among the 56 athletes honored nationwide, Phoenix College stands out once again with an impressive four All-American selections, recognizing the exceptional talent, commitment, and championship pedigree of the Bears.
The following Phoenix College players received All-American recognition:

GK Jan Villegas – Freshman
A dominant presence in goal throughout the season, Villegas recorded multiple clean sheets and was instrumental in Phoenix College's historic national title run. -
Midfielder Cruzeiro Cruz – Sophomore
The heart of the midfield, Cruz showcased elite technical ability, creativity, and leadership. His consistent performances earned him back-to-back All-America-level recognition. -
Defender Kosei Sasaki – Sophomore
A defensive anchor with exceptional discipline and precision, Sasaki's ability to neutralize top attackers played a pivotal role in the Bears' success this season. -
Forward Tiernan Nicewander – Sophomore
One of the nation's most dynamic attacking threats, Nicewander delivered crucial goals—including key postseason moments—that elevated Phoenix College to championship glory.
These All-Americans will be honored at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, January 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, held during the annual United Soccer Coaches Convention.
