The Phoenix College Men's Soccer Team continued its dominant season with a 4–0 victory over Scottsdale Community College at Hoy Stadium. The win improves the Bears' record to 17–1 overall, 13–1 ACCAC, securing their spot in the Region I Division II Championship.
Phoenix College opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Christian Lopez, assisted by Arturo Flores. The Bears added three more in the second half with contributions from Tiernan Nicewander, Raul Martinez, and Jordin Figueroa. Goalkeeper Jan Villegas recorded a clean sheet, allowing Phoenix to maintain its stingy defensive record.
Phoenix College will face Pima Community College for the Region I, Division II crown on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Hoy Stadium. This matchup marks the fifth time in six years that Phoenix College and Pima have met for the Region I title.
