Phoenix College Dominates All-Region Honors; David Cameron Named ACCAC Coach of the Year

The Phoenix College Men's Soccer Team continued to add to its storied tradition of excellence, earning multiple All-Region honors following another outstanding season that saw the Bears capture the 2025 ACCAC Division II Championship and spend eight consecutive weeks ranked No. 1 nationally.

Head Coach David Cameron was named the ACCAC Coach of the Year, leading Phoenix to a 16–1 overall record and a 13–1 mark in conference play, securing the program's sixth conference title. 

Phoenix College led all programs in selections, with seven players earning All-Region recognition.

First Team All-Region selections included:

  • Jan Villegas (Goalkeeper) – Anchored the ACCAC's top defense, posting multiple shutouts and maintaining one of the lowest goals-against averages in the nation.

  • Kosei Sasaki (Defender) – A steady leader on the backline, Sasaki's composure and tactical awareness helped Phoenix allow just 13 goals all season.

  • Cruzerro Cruz (Midfielder) – Controlled the midfield with pace and precision, contributing both defensively and in attack.

  • Sergio Jaramillo (Forward) – A dynamic finisher who ranked among the conference leaders in goals and points, consistently sparking the Bears' attack.

On the Second Team All-Region, Jack Cameron (Defender) and Nerville Ntui (Defender) earned recognition for their consistency and defensive toughness, further emphasizing Phoenix's depth and strength in the back.

Tieman Nicewander (Forward) received Honorable Mention All-Region, rounding out the Bears' strong showing across all positions.

The Bears' 2025 campaign featured one of the most balanced rosters in the nation. With another conference title and a national No. 1 ranking to their name, Phoenix College continues to affirm its place among the elite programs in NJCAA Division II men's soccer.
