Phoenix College Downs Chandler-Gilbert on the Road

The No. 1-seeded Phoenix College Bears continued their dominant run with a convincing 5–0 victory over Chandler-Gilbert Community College on Saturday night.

The Bears wasted no time getting on the board, as Fredy Alvarez scored less than a minute into the match off an assist from Adan Rodriguez. Landon Vree added to the lead late in the first half, finding the back of the net in the 40th minute on a setup from Arturo Flores. Just before halftime, Jean Horace Katende extended the margin to 3–0 with a goal assisted by Andre Miyazato.

Phoenix kept its momentum in the second half. Sergio Jaramillo converted in the 52nd minute, assisted by Tiernan Nicewander, and Cruzeiro Cruz capped off the scoring at the 70th minute with help from Jaramillo.

The Bears controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting the Coyotes 19–1 and holding a decisive advantage in possession. Goalkeepers Xavier Rawls and Jan Villegas combined for the shutout, splitting time evenly in net.

With the win, Phoenix College improves to 13-1-0 overall and 10-1-0 in conference play, while Chandler-Gilbert falls to 0-10-1 on the season.
