The Phoenix College men's basketball team kicked off the 2025-26 season with an impressive performance, cruising past Park University-Gilbert JV with a 124-73 victory on October 31 at home.
The Bears showcased an explosive offense, led by AJ Ajawin, who scored a game-high 31 points on 13-of-15 shooting. Trystan Williams followed with 21 points and six rebounds, while Damion Byrd II added 17 points and seven assists.
Phoenix College's offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting 66.3% from the field and 83.3% from the free-throw line. The Bears also recorded 29 assists on 53 made field goals.
Defensively, the Bears held Park University-Gilbert JV to 26 points in the first half and just 47 in the second.
