Bears Sweep Glendale

The Phoenix College Bears earned a conference sweep over Glendale Community College, securing wins both on the road and at home in a strong all-around team effort.

In game one at Glendale, the Bears jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating the Gauchos 9–4. Phoenix College scored four runs in the first inning and added three more in the second to set the tone early.

Jose Fernandez led the offensive charge, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs, including a double. Logan Carney added two RBIs, while Ty Acton, Seandavid Loya, and Walker Cook each drove in a run. Brayden Flores had a big day at the plate, finishing 3-for-5 with three runs scored.

On the mound, Noah Andersen delivered a strong outing, pitching six innings and allowing just two runs while striking out five to earn the win. Brady Booth followed with two scoreless innings in relief before Abraham Guzman closed the game to record the save.

The Bears carried that momentum into game two at home, edging Glendale 6–5 in a tightly contested matchup.

Phoenix College recorded 11 hits in the game, with Jordan Vigil leading the way with a perfect 3-for-3 performance, scoring twice and driving in a run. Gunnar Gift added three hits and two RBIs, while Brayden Flores drove in two runs. Logan Carney also contributed an RBI in the victory.

Aidan Sandvik started on the mound and worked 5.2 innings, allowing four runs while striking out four. Hunter Daniels earned the win in relief after pitching 2.1 innings, and Joey Parrish closed the door in the ninth inning to secure his fourth save of the season.
